Arrest made over the killing of 4 UNIPORT Students

Chief of Aluu community has been arrested and is in police custody.  There are also reports that at least 12 others have been arrested and more arrests will be made in the coming days.

The deputy registrar of University of Port Harcourt, Williams Modi, said the school will issue a statement once they get all the facts -the true identities of the victims and what actually transpired on the day of the reported incident.
The residents of the community have started fleeing the area to avoid being arrested. Please continue...

we've heard different versions of what happened on that early Friday morning...different versions! Below is another one...Ugonna one of the deceased have been complaining to his father that his house in school was being invaded all the time by robbers,so he doesnt sleep there. He had a friend in the community where he spends the night most time.He was coming back from where they went to spend the night when they met their other friends Chiadika and Lloyd.so they decided to stroll together. On their way.Lloyd said he needed to collect money from someone who was owing him.In the cause of collecting the money, the whole situation went bizzare and turned into a fight. The guy who was owing them started screaming and the Vigilante group was alerted and they thought they were the criminals disturbing the community.Since they were more in number.
At this point, I really don't care what these boys did. Not that I condone any form of crime, but there's no excuse for what the Aluu community did to these boys. No excuse! Even people that have been prosecuted for a crime and condemned to die are shown some kind of respect. These boys were treated like animals. Maybe even worse. Animals we kill for consumption are not treated like this. So we must all rise and condemn this act.

  1. It is with the highest level of provocation and disgust imaginable that I watched the clips of the animalistic and inhuman murder of 4 students of Uniport who were accused of stealing, while I will not make a hero of the students for their action, I stand to condemn the jungle justice handed down by the people of that community on them, we live in a society guided by the rule of law and therefore shuld behave in such fashion. I stand with other concerned Nigeria students to condemn this action and demand that
    1. The councilor of that ward should bring out the culprits to be burnt to death and resign with immediate effect,
    2. The D.P.O of the nearest police station to that community should be sacked and then tried if justice is not served.
    3. The elders of that community should be arrested and tried in the court of law and killed by haging.
    4. The identifiable faces in that grusome act should face the same kind if death (vigilante group or not).
